Workwear Manufacturing at Fabritex

Workwear is judged on compliance before it is judged on style. Every high-visibility garment we produce is built around the two standards buyers actually specify: EN ISO 20471 in the UK and Europe, and ANSI/ISEA 107 in the United States. Both govern the same two things — how much fluorescent background material a garment carries, and how much retroreflective tape it carries, and where that tape sits on the body. Getting the class right is the difference between a garment that passes a site inspection and one that is rejected on arrival.

Our workwear range is produced in 100% polyester. Polyester is the standard base for hi-vis because the fluorescent dyes that create the daytime signal colour bond to polyester far more reliably than to cotton, and because it holds that colour through the repeated industrial laundering these garments are subjected to. A hi-vis garment that fades below the required chromaticity is no longer compliant, so colour retention is a safety specification, not a cosmetic one. Where a buyer needs flame resistance, moisture management or a softer hand for long shifts, we can quote polyester blends and treated fabrics against the same patterns.

Reflective tape is where most low-cost workwear fails. We use heat-applied and stitched silver retroreflective tape rated for a defined number of wash cycles, and we place it to the standard rather than to the sketch — banded around the torso, over the shoulders and around each sleeve or leg, so the wearer reads as a human outline from any angle in a vehicle headlight. Tape that cracks, lifts or greys after twenty washes takes the garment out of compliance long before the fabric wears out, which is why tape selection is specified at sampling and verified in wash testing.

Built for the Job Site

Construction, logistics, rail and utilities each ask something different of a garment. A warehouse picker needs a lightweight vest that will not trap heat over a shift. A rail worker needs Class 3 coverage and sleeves. A construction crew in a Gulf summer needs ventilation and a fabric that will not become unbearable at 45°C, while the same crew in a Northern European winter needs a softshell that layers over a fleece without losing its hi-vis class. We build to the working condition, not to a generic catalogue fit.

That shows up in construction detail. Utility and cargo pockets are bar-tacked at every stress point, because a pocket loaded with a tape measure and a radio fails at the corners first. Zips are chosen for the environment — heavier gauge where gloves are worn, storm-flapped where weather exposure is constant. Overall straps are adjustable so one size covers a real range of body types and layering depths. Seams on outerwear are reinforced, and where a garment is specified for weather exposure we can add taped seams and a water-resistant finish.

Sizing is the quiet failure point in workwear programmes. Garments worn over base layers and fleeces need grading that accounts for that bulk, and a size run built for one market rarely transfers cleanly to another. We grade to the destination market and confirm fit on approved size sets before bulk, which is what keeps a rollout from stalling on returns.

Compliance, Ethics and Order Terms

Workwear is overwhelmingly a contract category — it is bought by employers, distributors and safety suppliers who are accountable for what they issue. Our partner factories are audited to SEDEX and BSCI standards and operate under ISO 9001 quality management, with in-line and final AQL inspection on every order. Buyers supplying government, rail or energy contracts routinely need documentation behind the garment, and we supply test reports, compliance certificates and full material traceability as part of the shipment file.

Branding is expected in this category rather than optional. We apply embroidered and heat-transfer logos, add contrast panels in corporate colours, and can produce to a defined workwear palette across an entire uniform programme so a company's jackets, vests and overalls read as one identity. Placement is planned so branding never sits over reflective tape or reduces the certified background area.

Minimum order quantities start at 500 pieces per style, with sampling in 10–14 days and bulk production typically running 35–50 days depending on quantity, tape specification and finishing. We ship from Bangladesh to the USA, UK, Europe and the Middle East under FOB, CIF and DDP terms. Send us your class requirement, target standard and quantity, and we will come back with a costed quote and a sampling plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do your hi-vis garments meet EN ISO 20471 and ANSI/ISEA 107?

Yes. We manufacture to both EN ISO 20471 (UK/Europe) and ANSI/ISEA 107 (USA) and produce to the class you specify, controlling fluorescent background area and retroreflective tape placement to the standard. Test reports and compliance certificates are supplied with the shipment file.

What is the minimum order quantity for workwear?

Our workwear MOQ starts at 500 pieces per style. Colour and size breakdowns can be split within that quantity, and we can advise on the most cost-effective split for a uniform programme.

Can you add our company logo and corporate colours?

Yes. We apply embroidered and heat-transfer branding and produce contrast panels in your corporate palette across jackets, vests, sets and overalls. Placement is planned so branding never covers reflective tape or reduces the certified background area.

What fabric do you use for workwear?

Our standard range is 100% polyester, which holds fluorescent dye through repeated industrial laundering and keeps the garment compliant over its service life. Flame-resistant, moisture-managing and blended fabrics can be quoted against the same patterns.

What are your lead times for workwear orders?

Sampling takes 10-14 days and bulk production typically runs 35-50 days depending on quantity, tape specification and finishing. We ship to the USA, UK, Europe and the Middle East on FOB, CIF and DDP terms.
